Beach Boys Cancel Additional Tour Dates Amidst Ongoing Disruptions

The Beach Boys have canceled a series of concerts on their "Pet Sounds 60" tour, adding to recent disruptions that have impacted the band's schedule. Shows in West Springfield, Massachusetts, at The Big E Arena, as well as dates in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, have been removed from venue listings.

The venues for the canceled Pennsylvania and South Carolina shows cited "circumstances beyond the control" for the cancellations. Representatives for the band have been contacted for further comment.

Previously, concert dates from July 23 to September 3 had been postponed. In a July 22 statement on Mike Love's Instagram, the group explained the need for a "short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September." At that time, they noted they had been "having a blast" and aimed to "keep the good vibrations going strong."

Upcoming shows are still listed on the band's website for Bloomington, Illinois, on October 9; Cincinnati on October 10; and Nashville on October 11. Tickets for these dates remain available.

The tour, which commemorates the 60th anniversary of the group's 1966 album "Pet Sounds," has been ongoing more than a year after the death of co-founder Brian Wilson in June 2025 at age 82. The album featured prominent tracks such as "Sloop John B," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," and "God Only Knows."

Longtime member Bruce Johnston, 84, stopped touring with the group in March, leaving Mike Love, 85, as the sole original member actively performing on the road. Love has publicly acknowledged navigating personal challenges, including the loss of his sister and a recent recovery from illness, which he stated had taken an emotional and physical toll. He described performing for audiences as "medicine" and the music as "the cure."
