Two men have been arrested in connection with a burglary where over $100,000 worth of tools, copper wire, and vehicles were stolen from an American Canyon business. The suspects were apprehended after evidence, including crime scene selfies, was discovered. The American Canyon Police Department responded to the incident on Monday.

Authorities identified the two stolen vehicles and issued alerts to other law enforcement agencies. The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested one of the suspects, 53-year-old Daniel Lemas, while he was driving one of the stolen cars. A search of his belongings by the American Canyon Police Department uncovered photographs that allegedly showed him committing the burglary.

Lemas was booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections on multiple felony charges related to the burglary. He was later released after posting $25,000 bail.

The following day, the Hayward Police Department stopped the second stolen vehicle and arrested 49-year-old Dennis Tylij. He faces charges of conspiracy to commit a crime. Tylij remains in custody.

During a search warrant execution at a property on Arden Road, officers recovered some of the items reported stolen from the American Canyon business.
