Batman Filming Halted After Crew Member Injured by Batmobile
An accident on the set of 'The Batman Part II' in the UK has temporarily paused production.
Production for 'The Batman Part II' was temporarily halted after a crew member was injured by the Batmobile. The incident occurred earlier this month during the filming of a dramatic scene for the upcoming movie, which stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne.
The injured individual was taken to a hospital, received treatment, and is now recovering at home. Filming has since resumed at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire.
The Batmobile involved in the accident is a muscle car-style vehicle that was introduced in the first film directed by Matt Reeves. A source described the scene where the accident happened as one that "went horribly wrong," reminding the crew of the inherent risks in filming ambitious action sequences.
The sequel, scheduled for release in February 2028, also features Colin Farrell, Scarlett Johansson, and Andy Serkis. The production had previously experienced a brief pause when director Matt Reeves stepped away for personal reasons, with Steven Soderbergh stepping in to assist with filming. A DC Studios spokesperson confirmed that Soderbergh approached Reeves to help complete the film while Reeves attends to a family matter, with both directors collaborating on Reeves's vision for the movie.
