Barry Keoghan, who is set to portray Ringo Starr in an upcoming Beatles biopic, caused a filming delay due to an on-set outburst. The incident occurred earlier this month at Stonewall Park in Kent, where Keoghan, 33, reportedly threw his Ringo earrings into a bush and walked off the set.
Filming was suspended for a day as crew members searched for the missing earrings. The biopic, which consists of four films scheduled for release in 2028, has faced other criticisms, including fan comments that the actors do not resemble the Fab Four. The cast also includes Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon.
This incident follows Keoghan's recent retreat from public life, which he attributed to online hate directed at his appearance and rumors of infidelity. He denied these rumors, stating in April that he had stopped using social media and socialized less. Keoghan has not commented on the on-set incident.
