Sid Gumbrell, owner of Clean Cuts Barber Shop in Guildford, Surrey, is hosting an event on Sunday where children can receive complimentary back-to-school haircuts. The initiative, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, also includes the distribution of free stationery, pencil cases, and water bottles.

Gumbrell stated that he understands the financial pressures families are currently facing. "School uniforms, shoes, haircuts, etc, it all adds up and if we can just help take one cost away it's a massive deal for us," he said. The event aims to foster a sense of community among children while offering financial relief to their parents.

Tesco and Krispy Kreme are supporting the event through donations. This effort comes as many families grapple with increased expenses for essential back-to-school items.
