Barbara Palvin's Postpartum Runway Return: A Look at Her Diet and Fitness Regimen
The model showcased a striking physique six weeks after childbirth, adhering to specific diet and exercise practices.
Barbara Palvin made a notable appearance on the Victoria's Secret runway just six weeks after welcoming her daughter. The 33-year-old model, who gave birth in September to her first child with husband Dylan Sprouse, displayed a toned physique as she walked the catwalk in Los Angeles, California.
Palvin has previously shared insights into her approach to diet and fitness, which likely contributed to her swift return to the public eye. Prior to her wedding in July 2023, she adopted the ketogenic diet, a regimen emphasizing high fat, moderate protein, and very low carbohydrates, designed to encourage the body to burn fat for fuel. "I did the keto diet with Dylan and my sister," Palvin stated, noting that the diet included foods she enjoys, such as meat and cheese, with limited dairy.
She also mentioned that she and Sprouse would exercise together at their home gym. In 2023, Palvin indicated that while Sprouse maintained a daily workout routine, her own frequency was less consistent, admitting to being "a little lazy" at times but aiming to work out all body parts when she did exercise.
However, her preparation for high-profile events has sometimes involved a more rigorous regimen. In 2018, Palvin revealed that she trained at the gym up to ten times a week in preparation for the Victoria's Secret show. During a Vogue Australia video filmed prior to the event, she described her routine, which included sessions at the Dogpound gym, incorporating exercises like donkey kicks, lunges, and rope work, and emphasized the importance of a personal trainer for such demanding schedules.
In contrast to intense gym sessions, Palvin has also expressed a preference for yoga and hiking. Her appreciation for outdoor activities, particularly walking, grew significantly during the coronavirus pandemic. In a 2021 interview with Who What Wear, Palvin described how being "off the grid" allowed her to reconnect with nature and underscored the benefits for her mental health. She stated, "Now, I try to go outside more, go on a hike, work out, do my self-care routines as regularly as possible."
