Barbara Palvin Returns to Victoria's Secret Runway Six Weeks After Giving Birth
Model attributes swift recovery to healthy pregnancy diet, breastfeeding, and light exercise.
Model Barbara Palvin made a striking return to the Victoria's Secret runway just six weeks after welcoming her daughter, Sylvie, with husband Dylan Sprouse. Palvin, 33, walked in the show in California on Sunday night, crediting her rapid physical recovery to a healthy lifestyle during and after her pregnancy.
"My body bounced back — luckily — really quickly," Palvin told Page Six backstage. She attributed her postpartum readiness to her well-being during pregnancy, stating, "During pregnancy, I really wanted to make sure baby girl was healthy, so I only did organic foods." She continued, "And now postpartum, because I’m breastfeeding, I wanted to make sure I was eating good. So that’s how I prepped: I just let my body heal on its own and did some light exercises, but nothing crazy."
Palvin emphasized that her return is not unusual, saying, "I tell everyone: 'This is normal.' Maternity leave is six to eight weeks; I’m six weeks tomorrow, so I’m just doing what everyone [else] is doing. And I only need to walk down a runway!"
For her appearance, Palvin wore a sheer pale pink mini dress, matching lingerie, and a white embellished corset with a flowing train and snowflake wings. Her husband, Dylan Sprouse, was in the front row supporting her and reportedly cared for their daughter.
Palvin's history with the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show includes a runway debut at age 19 in 2012. After a six-year hiatus, she returned in 2018 and became a Victoria's Secret Angel a year later, the first Hungarian model to achieve this status. She has previously walked the runway after recovering from injuries, including a broken foot.
Previously, Palvin has shared details about her rigorous fitness routines. In preparation for the 2018 Victoria's Secret show, she reported going to the gym up to 10 times a week with a personal trainer, incorporating exercises like donkey kicks, lunges, and rope work. Ahead of her wedding in July 2023, she also followed a keto diet, which emphasizes high-fat, moderate-protein, and very-low-carbohydrate intake.
