Pregnant model Barbara Palvin and actor Dylan Sprouse have confirmed they are expecting a baby girl. The couple, who married in 2023, announced Palvin's pregnancy in May at the Cannes Film Festival.
In a recent episode of Sprouse's podcast, "Wildmen," the couple shared their joy about welcoming a daughter. Sprouse mentioned they have been affectionately calling her "principessa," which is Italian for princess. He expressed his excitement about becoming a father to a girl, saying, "I'm excited to be a girl dad, actually."
Palvin, 32, and Sprouse, 33, are still in the process of choosing a name for their daughter. Palvin admitted that her pregnancy has been challenging, citing symptoms such as back pain, difficulty sleeping, and significant hunger. "I feel guilty because I'm not enjoying pregnancy as much as a lot of women out there," she stated, attributing some of her discomfort to not consuming enough protein, a mistake she also made in her first trimester.
The couple had known they wanted children, but Palvin's diagnosis of endometriosis, a condition that can affect fertility, prompted her to undergo surgery in June 2025 to improve their chances of conceiving. "We wanted to get the surgery done before we started trying," she said. "They cleared out everything in the surgery and there's an easier chance to get pregnant."
Separately, Sprouse was recently involved in an incident at his Hollywood Hills home where he reportedly tackled a trespasser. According to reports, he held the intruder at gunpoint until authorities arrived. The suspect was arrested on existing warrants, and the couple reportedly did not wish for the individual to be booked for trespassing. Sprouse was reportedly shaken but unharmed in the event, while Palvin was home and called 911. Sprouse purchased the property in 2021, and the couple has resided there since their wedding in Hungary in July 2023.
