Actress Barbara Eden, 95, abruptly withdrew from her scheduled appearance at the Cinecon Classic Film Festival on Saturday due to a sudden illness. Festival organizers announced her cancellation on Facebook, stating that Eden was "deeply regretful" for the last-minute change.
Eden was slated to be honored with the Cinecon Legacy Award at the event. Her co-star Pat Boone accepted the award on her behalf. Eden and Boone, 92, previously starred together in the films "All Hands on Deck" and "The Yellow Canary."
The nature of Eden's illness has not been disclosed, and representatives for the actress did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The festival expressed their understanding and wished Eden a speedy recovery, noting that despite her absence, they would still celebrate her legacy.
