Bam Margera makes an appearance in "Jackass: Best and Last," the franchise's final film, solely through archival footage. The movie incorporates previously unreleased material, including segments originally filmed during the production of "Jackass Forever."

The decision to use older footage rather than new stunts stems from Margera's departure from "Jackass Forever" in 2021. At the time, he was removed from the production after allegedly violating the terms of a wellness agreement. This led to legal disputes between Margera, Paramount, and members of the creative team, which have since been resolved.

Instead of filming new material, both Margera and the filmmakers agreed to utilize previously shot footage. This approach aligns with the film's overall concept, which includes revisiting over two decades of the franchise through rare behind-the-scenes clips, alternate takes, and footage that did not make it into earlier films.

Steve-O, a cast member, has spoken positively about Margera's inclusion, explaining that the final movie was developed from a large collection of unused footage discovered while looking back at the franchise's history. He noted that there was a significant amount of material that audiences had never seen, making a film centered around these lost moments feel worthwhile. Steve-O suggested that some of Margera's unreleased material is among the film's highlights.

"Jackass: Best and Last" premiered on June 26 and is currently playing exclusively in theaters nationwide. The film is not yet available for streaming on services like Paramount+, Netflix, or Prime Video, though it is expected to eventually be released on premium video-on-demand before arriving on Paramount+.
