Laura Byrne, known for her appearance on "The Bachelor," has revealed an uncomfortable consequence of attending the 2026 Logie Awards: the development of hemorrhoids. Byrne shared on her "Life Uncut" podcast that the painful condition arose after the awards ceremony.
"I sh** you not, I got a haemorrhoid last night," Byrne told her co-host, Brittany Hockley. Hockley expressed surprise, questioning how one attends the Logies and returns with such an ailment. Byrne attributed the discomfort to standing for extended periods in high heels, particularly in the aftermath of giving birth to three children.
Byrne humorously captioned an Instagram post about the experience, "Would have preferred coming home with a goodie bag to be honest."
The event also marked a reunion on the red carpet with Georgia Love, a decade after Love famously ended her relationship with Matty J. Johnson, whom Byrne later married on "The Bachelor." Byrne stated that there was no lingering tension between them during their encounter at The Star in Sydney, dismissing suggestions of awkwardness and noting the passage of time and their shared family life.
This cordial interaction contrasted with a previous public disagreement in 2019, when Byrne criticized Love for using profanity in a social media post directed at another "Bachelor" contestant, Matt Agnew. At the time, Byrne argued that Love's language set a poor example for online commentary and could encourage abuse towards contestants.
