Bachelor Alum Sam Wood Transferred to High-Security Queensland Prison

Sam Wood, a multimillionaire fitness trainer and former star of The Bachelor, has been transferred from the Brisbane Correctional Centre to the Wolston Correctional Centre, a high-security facility in Queensland, Australia. The move places Wood among some of the country's most reviled inmates, a shift from his previous accommodation.

Wolston Correctional Centre is designated for male protection prisoners whose crimes or profiles make them vulnerable in the general population. The facility houses individuals convicted of serious offenses, including infamous killers, rapists, and child sex offenders. Among its inmates is Gerard Baden-Clay, convicted of murdering his wife, and Ashley Griffith, serving a lengthy sentence for crimes against children.

Wood, 46, was refused bail on October 8 at Maroochydore Magistrates Court. He was charged with domestic violence offenses. His solicitor, Mathew Cuskelly, and father, Andrew Wood, were seen outside the court following the bail hearing.

The Queensland Corrective Services confirmed the transfer but, as per departmental policy, declined to comment on the individual management of prisoners. The move to Wolston signifies a significant change in Wood's immediate circumstances within the correctional system.
