The Bachelor star Irena Srbinovska has shared her disappointment after she and her two-year-old daughter were reportedly asked to leave a Perth shoe store. Srbinovska posted a social media clip detailing an encounter with a retail employee.
According to Srbinovska, her daughter Ava picked up two shoes from a sales rack and was handing them to her mother. An employee then intervened, taking the shoes from the child and telling her, "No, I will take them off from you. Bye bye."
Srbinovska stated that the interaction made her feel uncomfortable, and she questioned the appropriateness of a stranger reprimanding her child, especially since Ava was not misbehaving. She indicated she was preparing to leave the store when the incident occurred.
The incident has prompted varied reactions online. Some social media users sided with the store assistant, emphasizing that children should not handle merchandise. Others expressed support for Srbinovska, calling the employee's behavior rude and inappropriate.
Srbinovska and her husband, Locky Gilbert, welcomed their daughter Ava in February 2024. The couple met on the reality dating show The Bachelor in 2020.
