Baby Injured in Detroit Attack; Three Women Face Charges
A four-week-old infant sustained injuries after his mother was allegedly ambushed and beaten by three women in Detroit.
A four-week-old baby suffered facial injuries, including a swollen eye, after his mother was allegedly lured into a violent confrontation by three women in Detroit. The mother, who recently underwent a C-section, claims the attack occurred after she was invited to a home under the pretense of meeting her newborn son.
According to the mother, identified only as 'Taylor' in reports, the incident escalated when she attempted to hand over her baby's car seat. She stated that three relatives of the baby's father then attacked her, and during the struggle, the infant was thrown from his stroller, hitting his face on the ground. Both mother and baby were hospitalized following the assault.
Disturbing footage captured a portion of the incident, which unfolded on Detroit's west side. Taylor described enduring a ten-minute beating, sustaining blows across her body, severe forehead injuries, and swelling that caused one of her eyes to close completely. The attack occurred just four weeks after she had given birth via C-section.
Detroit police are nearing the conclusion of their investigation and plan to refer the case to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office for review. Investigators are seeking criminal charges against all three women involved, though their identities have not yet been released. The specific circumstances that triggered the confrontation remain unclear.
