A three-month-old baby girl has died while camping with her family in a woodland area in Staffordshire, England. Emergency services were dispatched to land off Strawberry Lane, near Cheslyn Hay, on Saturday morning following a report of a child in cardiac arrest.

An air ambulance responded to the scene, but paramedics pronounced the child deceased a short time later. Staffordshire Police have stated that the death is being treated as unexplained and that inquiries are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Katie Gregory noted that while the investigation is in its early stages, the incident appears to be isolated. The child's family was reportedly camping in the area at the time of the incident.

A police cordon was established in the woodland and remained in place on Sunday as officers conducted their investigations and provided reassurance to the community. A bunch of roses was left near the scene as a tribute to the infant.

A bunch of roses are lay on their side by a wooden gate. In the distance is a police van.
