A nine-month-old boy was killed and his five-year-old sister was injured when an unlicensed driver crashed into their stroller in Jackson Township, New Jersey. The incident occurred around 11:55 a.m. in the parking lot of NPGS, a Kosher grocery store.

The mother and her two children were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where the infant boy was pronounced dead. The mother and the five-year-old daughter are reported to be in stable condition.

Maria CobonGuzman, 20, has been charged with manslaughter, operating a vehicle without a license, and two counts of assault by auto, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer. Police allege CobonGuzman had never been issued a valid driver's license.

Ariadna Lazaro-Flores, 22, also faces charges in connection with the crash. Prosecutors stated Lazaro-Flores was aware CobonGuzman lacked a license but allowed her to drive. Lazaro-Flores is charged with knowingly engaging in conduct that created a substantial risk of death to another.

Both CobonGuzman and Lazaro-Flores were taken into custody and are being held at the Ocean County Jail. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
