An alligator attack that resulted in the death of Brittany Clark was exceptionally violent, with an autopsy revealing that her arm and hand were almost entirely severed and that her bones bore teeth marks. Clark, 31, died on June 28 after being attacked by a 13-foot alligator while visiting Little Big Econ State Forest in Central Florida with her boyfriend and roommate.

An autopsy performed by Associate Medical Examiner Jenaye L. Mack in Orlando the following morning concluded that Clark's death was caused by "multiple blunt force injuries of the upper extremities" and ruled the manner of death as an accident. The report noted "near complete traumatic amputation of the left arm at the shoulder and near complete traumatic amputation of the right distal forearm." Teeth marks were found on Clark's left clavicle, left scapula, and ventral left arm.

Following the attack, trappers killed a 13-foot alligator in the vicinity. Officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) later confirmed through DNA analysis that this alligator was responsible for the fatal encounter. The autopsy report was released on Thursday.
