Author Tests 1,100-Calorie 'Goldilocks Diet' for Appetite Reset, Cholesterol Reduction

A journalist has shared her experience with a 48-hour diet plan, which she calls the 'Goldilocks diet,' aimed at resetting appetite and improving cholesterol levels. The diet, which involved consuming approximately 1,100 calories per day, led to a reported loss of 1.5 kg (3.4 lb) and a reduction in her cholesterol.

Liz Hoggard, the author of the piece, described the diet as involving a strict 1,100-calorie limit per day. For two days, her sole food source was porridge, prepared with 100g of oats and 400ml of water, consumed twice daily. Hoggard stated that before embarking on this diet, she weighed 82.1 kg (12 stone 13 lb).

She reported that after the 48-hour period, her appetite had been reset, and she experienced a desire to eat less. The diet also reportedly led to a significant reduction in her cholesterol levels, allowing her to fit into a party dress she had previously been unable to wear.
