A 23-year-old Sydney model, who previously gained attention on "First Dates Australia" for asking a date if she would give up her nursing job to be a housewife, has ignited further controversy with his relationship expectations. Appearing on Kyle Sandilands' new subscription show, the model, who rates himself a "10 out of 10," declared he would "never ever date an Australian woman ever again" because they do not align with his "traditional views."
During the interview, the model explained his ideal "traditional wife" would stay home, manage the family, and not go out with friends, stating "No going out with the girls." When pressed by show newsreader Mary Madigan, he conceded his partner could go out if he were present. However, he confirmed he would be permitted to have "boys' nights" without his partner. He also expressed a desire for his partner to be "completely reliant" on him, stating he wanted to be the sole provider and that his partner should not have a job. He revealed that his current girlfriend of 18 months was informed of these expectations on their first date, and she uses his credit card, with him able to cut off access at any time. Madigan described this situation as "precarious."
The model attributed his views to his upbringing, stating his parents had a similar approach to relationships. Sandilands defended the model's perspective, suggesting that different relationship styles are valid. However, the interview has circulated widely on social media, drawing sharp criticism and accusations of controlling behavior. Many users expressed disbelief and anger, with some applauding Madigan for challenging his statements. One commenter shared a personal experience of financial dependence leading to isolation with children.
