Arsenal has completed the signing of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for a reported fee of £34 million. The 24-year-old Greek international, described as an "extremely versatile attacking player," has agreed to a long-term contract with the Premier League champions.
During his tenure at Club Brugge, Tzolis amassed 43 goals and 45 assists in 108 appearances. His transfer to Arsenal follows the recent departure of forward Leandro Trossard to Besiktas.
Arsenal's sporting director, Andrea Berta, highlighted Tzolis's adaptability and technical skills. "Christos naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line," Berta stated. "He's an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses incredible technical ability. Christos has produced outstanding numbers in terms of goals and assists over the last three seasons, and he's a player who will raise the technical level of our squad, while bringing positive energy, enthusiasm, and a strong mentality to our team."
Tzolis began his career at PAOK and previously played for Norwich City between 2021 and 2024, scoring three goals in 30 appearances. He also had loan spells at Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf before his move to Club Brugge.
Speaking about the move, Tzolis mentioned a positive conversation with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. "We talked about everything - about the club, about myself, about his plans, about me of course, about the team," he said. "It was only positive things." He described himself as a direct player focused on goals and assists, stating, "I'm always hungry to score or to give the final pass to my team-mates. And I can say I work hard for the team, also in the defensive part."
