Arsenal midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly has reportedly been offered to fellow Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United. The development follows Arsenal's capture of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle for a reported £75 million.
Lewis-Skelly, 19, signed a new contract last year and experienced a breakout season, but has seen limited minutes in Arsenal's Premier League title-winning campaign. With Guimaraes' arrival, and limited opportunities potentially at left-back, there is speculation the club might consider moving the academy product on. Fresh contact has been made with Chelsea and Manchester United, among other top-flight clubs, who are evaluating a potential move for the versatile player.
Despite signing a new deal, Lewis-Skelly's playing time could be further constrained by Guimaraes' presence in the midfield. Guimaraes, who signed a four-year deal with an additional 12-month option, joins an already competitive Arsenal midfield that includes Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, and Mikel Merino.
Chelsea has a documented interest in Lewis-Skelly, though it remains unclear if they will submit a formal offer. The Stamford Bridge club is also facing competition for midfield places, with players such as Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia, Dario Essugo, Valentin Barco, and Jordan Henderson on their roster. Earlier in the transfer window, Chelsea reportedly pursued Granit Xhaka but were unsuccessful. The club has already seen new arrivals, including Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace and Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117 million.
Lewis-Skelly has made 75 senior appearances for Arsenal and was part of the squad that secured a Premier League winner's medal last season. He has played at left-back and his preferred central midfield position, notably starting in Arsenal's Champions League quarter-final victory against Real Madrid in 2025. He has started every pre-season game for Arsenal this summer. The club finished last season with a Champions League final appearance, which they lost to Paris Saint-Germain, where Lewis-Skelly started in midfield.
