Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that 19-year-old midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly will remain with the club, dismissing recent speculation linking him with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United. Reports had emerged last week suggesting that intermediaries had offered the academy graduate to the rival Premier League clubs.

"100 per cent," Arteta stated when asked about his confidence in Lewis-Skelly staying at Arsenal beyond the current transfer window. The 19-year-old recently scored against Como in a friendly match last Wednesday, celebrating with a heart shape directed at the crowd.

Arteta also provided an update on other Arsenal players ahead of the team's opening Premier League match against Coventry on Friday. Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are reported to be fit and available, having both featured as substitutes in the Gunners' 3-0 victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday. However, the availability of Bruno Guimaraes remains uncertain due to a thigh issue, with Arteta stating, "Let's see how it is." Jurrien Timber is still not training with the group.
