Terrion Arnold, who was recently cut by the Detroit Lions following his arrest last month, is generating interest from multiple NFL teams. His agent, Nicole Lynn, stated during a pre-trial hearing Friday that the Jets are among the teams that have shown interest.
According to ESPN, Arnold has also drawn attention from the Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, and Houston Texans. The Texans hosted Arnold for a physical and a workout on Thursday, while Lynn indicated that he is scheduled to visit two additional teams next week.
"He actually had a workout with the team, an NFL team, just yesterday. So he was in their facility, they paid for him to fly in, he did a physical, which shows you how serious these teams are about him," Lynn told the court. She also successfully argued for Arnold to forgo wearing an ankle monitor, which she contended would hinder his ability to sign with a new team.
Arnold, 23, was the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and quickly established himself as a starter for the Lions. The Seahawks and Texans both had strong defensive units last season, while the Colts ranked second-to-last in passing defense. The Jets are looking to improve on their 3-14 record from the previous year.
Arnold turned himself in to authorities on June 24 and is currently out on a $1 million bond. He faces eight felony charges, with potential life imprisonment if convicted.
