Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, who were married for 25 years before separating in 2011, recently reunited for a rare photograph. The image was shared by their eldest daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger, on Instagram in honor of her father's 79th birthday.

In the social media post, Katherine Schwarzenegger posted a carousel of photos, including a recent snapshot of her parents bundled up together, appearing to be on a ski trip. She captioned the tribute, "Happy Birthday, Dad ❤️. So lucky you’re ours… and even luckier our kids get you as Opa."

The former couple, who wed in April 1986, share four children: Katherine, Patrick, Christina, and Christopher Schwarzenegger. While Katherine and Patrick were featured in photos from the trip, it remains unclear if Christina and Christopher were also present.

This marks a notable public appearance for Schwarzenegger and Shriver together, who finalized their divorce in December 2021. Schwarzenegger previously told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023 that he and Shriver remain very close, considering her a "really good friend." He described their post-divorce relationship by saying, "If there’s Oscars for how to handle divorce, Maria and I should get it for having the least amount of impact on the kids."

In a podcast episode last year, Shriver echoed similar sentiments, stating, "He’s the father of my children. We’re grandparents together. I don’t want to have hate, I don’t want to have anger in my body towards another person."
