Applebee's Heir Faces Legal Woes Amid Inheritance Dispute

Evan Musikantow, whose father was a substantial franchisee of Applebee's restaurants, is facing significant legal challenges stemming from an inheritance dispute and child support obligations. His father, Allen Musikantow, owned and operated approximately 480 Applebee's locations across 23 states, establishing himself as one of the largest family franchise operators in the nation.

Financial and Legal Entanglements

Evan Musikantow, now 60, has been imprisoned for failing to provide financial support for his two children from his first marriage. He has referred to his prosecution for dodging child support payments as "outrageously unfair." His father, Allen Musikantow, now 86, has stated that he paid his son $1 million and owes him no further inheritance.

Family Business and Legacy

Allen Musikantow built a vast restaurant empire, operating over 400 Applebee's locations before selling the company in 2001. Evan Musikantow himself has claimed to have played a major role in expanding his father's company. He married Nicole Zuber in 2009 after meeting in Beverly Hills, and the couple entered into business together shortly thereafter.

Nicole Zuber has defended her husband, describing him as the driving force behind his father's large Applebee's enterprise. The public nature of the legal disputes has brought to light details about Musikantow's personal life and financial affairs. He is pictured here with his children from his second marriage.
