Apple customers can now begin submitting claims for the company’s $250 million settlement, potentially receiving up to $95 per device for claims related to deceptive marketing practices concerning Siri's artificial intelligence capabilities. The claims window opened on Monday and will close on December 21.

To be eligible, customers must have purchased an iPhone 16, iPhone 15, or iPhone 15 Pro Max in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Claims can be submitted online at SmartphoneAISettlement.com.

The lawsuit alleged that Apple misled consumers by promoting advanced Siri AI features that were not yet available or were significantly limited at the time of purchase. According to Clarkson Law Firm, which led the legal action, the settlement aims to compensate customers who may not have purchased the devices or would have paid less had they been aware of the actual capabilities of Siri at the time of sale. The minimum payout for eligible claimants is $25 per device, with the potential to reach $95 depending on factors such as the total number of claims filed.

Apple agreed to the $250 million settlement in May. The lawsuit was filed after Apple advertised enhanced Siri features at its annual conference in 2024, leading consumers to believe these capabilities would be available on newer iPhone models. However, the filing stated that these advanced features were not delivered for years, resulting in a "significantly limited or entirely absent version of Apple Intelligence, misleading consumers about its actual utility and performance."

Apple officially launched its Siri AI features this month.
