Anti-Migrant Activist Appears in Court on Dover Center Charges

Anti-migrant activist Daniel Thomas, known to his supporters as Danny Tommo, appeared in court on Friday charged with entering a restricted zone at a migrant processing centre in Dover, Kent. Thomas, 37, appeared via videolink at Margate Magistrates' Court.
District Judge William Nelson scheduled a further case management hearing for November 4 at Westminster Magistrates' Court. According to court documents, Thomas pleaded guilty at a previous hearing on August 27 to entering a restricted zone at Western Jet Foil in Dover on March 31.
He denied further charges including using threatening words or behaviour in Dover on April 1, and obstructing a lawful activity on April 6. Thomas also pleaded not guilty to entering or remaining in Dover Docks without lawful business or permission on April 1 and April 6. He is additionally accused of racially aggravated harassment in Dover on April 1, allegedly using threatening or abusive words likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.
