Police were compelled to separate fighting demonstrators during a right-wing anti-immigration rally in Melbourne, Australia, on Sunday.
Hundreds gathered in the Melbourne CBD for the 'March for Australia' rally. Opposing groups, including Unite Against Racism Victoria, Unionists for Refugees, and the Refugee Action Collective, also convened in the city to confront rally attendees.
Tensions erupted when a protester allegedly flicked a 'One Nation' hat off a man's head. The man, who appeared to have made a Nazi salute, then attempted to punch the protester. Police intervened quickly, wrestling the One Nation supporter to the ground as dozens more officers secured the area.
