Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, is facing charges including causing death by dangerous driving and reckless driving.

The trial heard that Kayode's lawyer questioned a witness over the absence of a statement from boxer Anthony Joshua, who was a passenger in the vehicle. The witness stated that "efforts are ongoing" to obtain a statement from Joshua and that he did not have the boxer's contact information.

The court was informed that Joshua, who has family ties to the region near the crash site, posted a tribute on social media following the collision. He described Ghami and Ayodele as "special" and expressed that the incident was difficult for him, but acknowledged it was even more challenging for their parents.

The trial was adjourned until September 10.
