Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards married his longtime partner, Shannon Jackson, on July 16, according to marriage records. The news became public after Edwards was seen wearing a wedding ring at Fanatics Fest in New York City on July 17.

This development comes as Edwards is involved in a contentious paternity case with Ayesha Howard, with whom he has a daughter born in October 2024. In April, Edwards publicly accused Howard of attempting to "publicly shame him into a child support settlement." Records indicate that Edwards also has two other children with different women, born in September and October 2023.

Sources suggest Edwards urged Howard to get an abortion after she informed him of her pregnancy. He is reportedly navigating this legal and personal situation while married to Jackson, who has been his partner throughout Howard's pregnancy. Edwards has not publicly commented on the marriage, and Jackson does not maintain public social media accounts.

Edwards, the first overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and a four-time All-Star, continues his career with the Timberwolves. The team is also reportedly a contender in the free agency race for LeBron James.
