Guest host Anthony Anderson used recent record-breaking heat to mock former President Donald Trump's alleged methods of avoiding detection. During his Tuesday night monologue on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Anderson remarked on the extreme temperatures, noting that July was the hottest month on record in the contiguous United States, surpassing a previous record from 1936.
"According to climate experts, July was the hottest month in America in more than 130 years," Anderson stated, before playfully attributing the heat to Trump. He then rolled footage of Trump claiming America was the "hottest country in the world" due to his policies. Anderson quipped, "Well, all I have to say is: wait till he gets to hell."
The comedian also referenced reports of Trump utilizing a catering truck to board a different aircraft last month, purportedly to evade a security threat. Anderson humorously suggested a flaw in this strategy, stating, "Now, I’m no security expert, but if I was trying to find Donald Trump, a catering truck is the first place I’d look." He added, "Next time, hide his ass in a bookmobile."
