Anthea Turner, 66, Reveals Results of Non-Surgical Facelift
The former GMTV presenter shares her experience with Focus Dual treatments to combat signs of aging.
Anthea Turner, 66, has unveiled the outcomes of her non-surgical facelift, a decision prompted by diminished confidence in her appearance as she aged.
The former GMTV presenter shared that the aesthetic treatments have been so effective that some bus drivers have questioned her age, asking if she is truly 66 when she attempts to use her Freedom Pass.
Turner underwent a series of six monthly Focus Dual treatments, a procedure that utilizes micro-needling and radiofrequency technology for skin rejuvenation. Prior to the treatments, she expressed feeling less confident about her appearance, particularly noting loose skin on her neck and jawline. She described a common behavior among friends her age, where they would pull their skin tighter around their faces in the mirror, wishing for that effect.
Seeking a solution, Turner visited Bodyvie clinic in Richmond at the beginning of the year. After researching various aesthetic options, she opted for the Focus Dual treatment recommended by the clinic for her skin type and age. Her priorities were a safe, effective treatment with minimal downtime and natural-looking results.
Her treatment plan involved a gradual approach, focusing on maintaining facial volume while improving skin quality. "If you look after your skin, everything glows, everything looks great, and that's the approach we went for, and I have got exactly what I wanted," she stated.
Each session, which takes about an hour, was made comfortable with a numbing cream, which Turner rated as barely noticeable on a pain scale of one to ten.
Given her busy schedule, minimal recovery time was essential. Turner noted that any redness after a procedure was typically manageable with makeup the following day. The series of six full face and neck treatments cost approximately £500 per session, with several UK clinics offering a package for under £2,500, which she considered a worthwhile investment.
Turner plans to continue with maintenance treatments every three to four months. She reported significant improvements, particularly in the tightness of her jawline and the quality of her neck skin. She has also noticed positive comments from others about her skin's appearance.
Reflecting on the results, Turner expressed amazement at the difference in her before and after photos, highlighting the improved quality of her skin. She emphasized the importance of maintaining facial volume and the positive impact the treatment had on her "apples and eyes."
Turner encouraged others to commit to a full course of treatment, noting that changes become more noticeable with age due to collagen loss. She stressed that immediate results from a single session should not be expected and that the improvements continue even after the course is completed.
In related personal news, Turner revealed in April that her wedding to Mark Armstrong had been postponed for a fourth time due to ongoing home renovations. The couple, engaged since September 2019, had previously delayed their nuptials due to family bereavements and the COVID-19 pandemic. Turner described her partner as her best friend and everything to her, expressing gratitude for their relationship.
