Another Duggar Daughter Marries Five Years After Family Show's Cancellation

Johannah Duggar, the 16th of Jim and Michelle Duggar's 19 children, has married David Swanson. The wedding took place on September 10, according to public records reviewed by Us Weekly.

Initially, the couple planned to wed on October 10, as indicated on their profile on The Knot. However, Gospel Light Baptist Church minister Noel Cwenar officiated their ceremony one month early.

David Swanson is the younger brother of Lauren Swanson, who married Johannah's older brother Josiah Duggar in 2018.

No official photos from Johannah and David's wedding have been released. Jessa Duggar, Johannah's sister, shared an Instagram carousel on September 17 featuring some of her sisters, captioned, "The last month or two, in no particular order ✨."

The Duggar family gained national recognition in 2008 with their TLC reality series, "19 Kids and Counting." The show was canceled in 2015 following allegations and Josh Duggar's admission to molesting multiple girls, including his sisters. A subsequent spinoff, "Counting On," aired from 2015 until 2021.

Josh Duggar is currently serving a prison sentence of over 12 years for receiving and possessing child pornography. His release is scheduled for February 2, 2033, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

In March, another of Jim and Michelle's sons, Joseph Duggar, was arrested with his wife Kendra. Joseph faces charges of lewd and lascivious behavior related to alleged contact with a nine-year-old girl in 2020. Kendra Duggar has been charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment.
