Anne Heche's Son Homer Laffoon Accused of Neglecting Toddler Son with Autism

Jessica Lamberto, the mother of Homer Laffoon's nearly 3-year-old son Rocco, has accused Laffoon of being a "deadbeat dad" since their child's recent autism diagnosis. Lamberto exclusively told Page Six that Rocco, who is nonverbal, has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) level 2 and Global Developmental Delay (GDD), requiring substantial support.

"I’m still in shock with Rocco being diagnosed, even though I already knew. As a mother, I knew," Lamberto stated. "But hearing it confirmed just shattered my heart."

Lamberto, who lives with her mother in Reche Canyon, California, described herself as a "single mom" dedicating her days to driving Rocco to intensive physical, occupational, speech, and behavioral therapy appointments.

She labeled Laffoon, 24, a "s–ty person" who has "failed" his only child, claiming he has "never, ever, ever" reached out to check on Rocco and that she will "never forgive" him for being an absentee parent.

Page Six confirmed that the Riverside County Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) has an open child support case against Laffoon. In August, DCSS notified Lamberto that Laffoon had not yet been served and that they might not have sufficient information to locate him.

Lamberto hopes to pursue additional evaluations, specialists, and therapies for Rocco, but noted that many of these essential services are not covered by her insurance. She is launching a GoFundMe to help with these costs, explaining, "I’m just so burnt out. It’s nonstop. I don’t even feel like myself anymore. I’m so just mentally and emotionally exhausted. I can’t tell you how tired I am."

She added that Rocco, despite not using words yet, is "so smart" and "understands everything." Lamberto shared heartwarming anecdotes about Rocco's affection, saying, "He loves giving me huge morning hugs and laying his head on my chest. He makes silly faces and does funny little dances because he knows they will make me laugh."

Lamberto and Laffoon were friends when she became pregnant. Laffoon, who is the son of the late actress Anne Heche, became an equal beneficiary of her estate along with his half-brother, Atlas Tupper, following Heche's death in August 2022.

Lamberto alleged that Laffoon was initially hesitant about his involvement in the pregnancy and birth. She also claimed to the Daily Mail in November 2025 that Laffoon did not attend Rocco's birth on October 17, 2023, and refused to sign the birth certificate. She further alleged that Laffoon's father, Coleman "Coley" Laffoon, once stated, "Homer didn’t want any of this. Homer didn’t want a son. Homer didn’t want to be a dad."

Lamberto claimed Homer did not meet Rocco until he was 2 months old and has not seen him since May 2025. Representatives for Homer and Coley Laffoon did not respond to requests for comment.
