Anne Hathaway Steps Out in NYC, Addresses Pregnancy Rumors
The actress, expecting her third child, showcased her baby bump and responded to online speculation about her pregnancy.
Anne Hathaway, 43, was seen strolling through New York City, appearing ready to welcome her third child. The actress, who announced her pregnancy in June, sported a casual look with a white t-shirt accentuating her baby bump, paired with black pants and sneakers. She completed her ensemble with sunglasses and a baseball cap as she walked near Central Park.
Hathaway, married to Adam Shulman since 2012, is already mother to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6. Her outing comes as she juggles a busy acting career, having recently been dubbed the 'enemy of unemployment' for her numerous film roles this year. She is slated to appear alongside Tom Cruise in 'Days of Thunder 2', expected in summer 2028. This year, Hathaway has starred in 'Mother Mary', 'The Devil Wears Prada 2', 'The Odyssey', and 'The End of Oak Street', with 'Verity' scheduled for release next month.
It was during the press tour for 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' in June that Hathaway confirmed her third pregnancy via an Instagram reel. Reflecting on conceiving in her 40s, she told Access Hollywood, "There's always hope until there's not, but when you get to a certain age, that hope looks like one percent to two percent." She added that she and her husband approached the possibility with "very, very healthy, realistic expectation, which was very low."
Hathaway recently addressed online rumors that she was faking her pregnancy, after critics claimed her baby bump appeared artificial at a premiere. She responded on Instagram, stating, "Fake hair, real bump. Enjoy The End Of Oak Street Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!"
As Hathaway prepares for the birth, her next film, 'Verity', is set to premiere in theaters on October 2. The psychosexual thriller, adapted from a Colleen Hoover novel and starring Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett, features Hathaway as Verity Crawford, a reclusive thriller writer. When a writer, Lowen Ashleigh, is hired to complete Verity's books after an accident, she discovers an unfinished manuscript hinting at dark secrets within the family. The film was directed by Michael Showalter.
