Anna Johnston Arrested for DUI in Georgia
The "7 Little Johnstons" star was arrested for driving under the influence and later released on bond.
Anna Johnston, 26, a star of the reality television series "7 Little Johnstons," was arrested on Saturday in Houston County, Georgia, for driving under the influence. Johnston was released on a $1,563 bond, according to jail records from the Houston County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities encountered Johnston's 2022 Ford Escape parked on the highway with Johnston inside and her boyfriend, Jeffrey Meservey, 44, outside the vehicle. Police reports indicate Meservey was upset that Johnston had been driving with alcohol in her system and was attempting to arrange a ride. A report from The US Sun noted that Meservey's cousin was also present in the vehicle.
According to the police report, Meservey's reluctance to remain in the car with Johnston led to an argument and the vehicle pulling to the shoulder. An officer wrote that Meservey was on the phone with a friend, requesting a pickup so Johnston would not have to continue driving.
Johnston reportedly stated that she and Meservey had a disagreement over GPS routes, with her preferring back roads and Meservey favoring the interstate. Police reported that Johnston exhibited slurred speech when asked to exit the vehicle.
During the interaction, another officer identified an active warrant for Meservey out of Bibb County, and he was taken into custody. Meservey's cousin told authorities that Johnston had consumed one shot of alcohol approximately an hour before the incident. Despite a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle, Johnston initially denied drinking, though police noted her slurred speech and unsteadiness on her feet.
As the rain subsided, officers detected the odor of alcohol from Johnston's person and requested she perform a field sobriety test. The report states Johnston had difficulty maintaining eye contact, balancing on one leg, and completing the walk-and-turn portion of the test. A subsequent breathalyzer test indicated a blood alcohol content of .139, exceeding Georgia's legal limit of .08, leading to her arrest.
Meservey remains in custody in Bibb County Jail, facing 13 counts of forgery. Johnston appeared in 74 episodes of "7 Little Johnstons" between 2017 and 2025. She departed the series after its 16th season, reportedly due to family disputes.
