Anna Faris, 49, has revealed that her 14-year-old son, Jack, is a devout Christian, a faith he shares with his father, actor Chris Pratt. Faris, who does not share the same deep religious convictions, discussed her approach to her son's beliefs on the Dear Chelsea podcast.
"He has asked me to accept Jesus Christ… I told him that I would do anything for him, including this, but it's still going to take a whole lot of long conversations," Faris said. The actress explained that she actively challenges Jack on theological and social issues, citing examples such as the concept of a "luxury" to be pro-life or the role of mega-pastors who might be considered "grifters."
"So what do you think of this mega-pastor that's kind of a grifter? What do you think?" Faris recalled asking her son. "He's like, 'Oh, mega-pastors are the worst.' So it's like, 'OK, we're getting there.'"
Faris expressed appreciation for Jack's developing ability to recognize hypocrisy within religion and for their ability to engage in extended discussions. She described her son as emotionally stable and resilient, noting that he handles situations well.
Chris Pratt, 47, has spoken openly about his Christian faith, which he embraced more deeply after Jack was born nine weeks premature. In a personal essay from December 2025, Pratt wrote about praying for a miracle during Jack's critical early days and vowing to devote his life to sharing God's message if his son survived.
Faris and Pratt were married from 2009 to 2017. Pratt later married Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019, and they have three children together. Faris married cinematographer Michael Barrett in June 2021.
In other discussions on the podcast, Faris mentioned that she feels improved well-being since ceasing alcohol consumption and has begun hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to manage perimenopause symptoms. She stated that quitting drinking has had a positive impact on her mental health, noting a correlation between alcohol and depression for her.
