Anna Faris has shared insights into the religious conversations she has with her 14-year-old son, Jack, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Pratt.

During an appearance on Spotify’s “Dear Chelsea,” Faris described Jack as religious and noted that their differing backgrounds, as she did not grow up with religion, sometimes lead to contrasting viewpoints. Faris recounted that Jack asked her to accept Jesus Christ as her savior. She told him she would consider it, but it would require extensive discussions.

Faris, 49, stated that she challenges Jack on what she perceives as conservative religious ideals. For example, she has asked him about his views on whether it is a luxury to be pro-life, to which he responded, “Maybe.” She also brought up the topic of mega-pastors who she described as grifters, and Jack agreed that they are the worst.

Faris found her son’s responses to be “impressive” and feels they are having productive discussions. She expressed appreciation for Jack’s examination of religion, particularly his recognition of hypocrisy, and values their ability to engage in these lengthy conversations.

Faris and Pratt were married in 2009 and divorced in 2018. Pratt has since married Katherine Schwarzenegger and they have three children. Pratt is a devout Christian who has spoken about his faith. He has previously shared that the premature birth of Jack strengthened his faith, describing a moment where he prayed for his son's well-being and felt his faith was cemented. He stated that he then decided to dedicate his platform to God.
