Angie Katsanevas, 52, a star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and her husband Shawn Trujillo, 53, have reportedly separated after 27 years of marriage, according to multiple sources cited by Page Six. The couple, who share a 15-year-old daughter named Elektra, also own a chain of hair salons together.
The Sun reports that the couple ended their relationship earlier this year but have attempted to maintain a public image of unity for their businesses and the television program. It remains uncertain whether the dissolution of their marriage will be featured in the upcoming seventh season of RHOSLC, which was filmed between February and May.
Infidelity rumors have previously been a storyline on the Bravo series and have circulated among fans on social media. However, a source told The Sun that "there is no merit to any affair" regarding the end of their marriage, a claim echoed by TMZ, which also dismissed reports of infidelity. During season four of the show, a castmate suggested Trujillo had been unfaithful, a claim he addressed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, stating, "For me, it’s not a gay-straight thing; it’s an infidelity thing." Katsanevas previously stated on the show, "There have never been infidelity rumors in my marriage existing in Salt Lake City or anywhere."
Katsanevas commented in a 2023 episode that whispers about Trujillo's sexuality stemmed from his profession as a hairdresser. "You know, you're a hairdresser, so you're automatically gay," she said. She also expressed frustration with a castmate for repeating the rumors, calling her a "miserable b***h."
Katsanevas' last Instagram post featuring Trujillo was in June 2025, documenting a trip with their daughter to an equestrian event. This followed a post a few days prior celebrating their 26th wedding anniversary.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is scheduled to return in September. The seventh season's cast will include Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Bronwyn Newport, Britani Bateman, and Mary Cosby. The upcoming season is also expected to cover the aftermath of Cosby's son's death.
