Angelina Jolie was seen in Los Angeles on the Fourth of July holiday, amidst a legal dispute with her ex-husband Brad Pitt concerning their French winery, Château Miraval. Pitt has reportedly sought Jolie's tax returns from the three years following their split in 2016, a move Jolie's legal team is resisting.

Sources indicate Pitt's request pertains to financial documents from 2017 to 2019. He claims Jolie sold her stake in the winery without his consent, violating an agreement they had. Pitt has stated in legal documents that he invested significant time and labor into the winery located in Correns, France, and that Jolie's sale of her share to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler constituted a breach of their pact.

Jolie's representatives have countered that Pitt is taking her past statements out of context. According to legal documents reviewed by TMZ, Jolie's team asserts that Pitt's efforts represent a "continued mischaracterization and selective quoting" of her remarks. Jolie's clarified statements suggest her desire for "financial independence" from Pitt was aimed at separating their finances and lives, not indicative of general financial distress.

The former couple, who were married for two years and together for 12, share six children: Maddox, 24; Pax, 22; Zahara, 21; Shiloh, 19; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 17. Their divorce was finalized in December 2024, following a tumultuous period marked by various legal challenges. The dispute over Château Miraval has been ongoing for approximately four years.
