Angelina Jolie Eyes Nomadic Future, Ready to Relocate Outside the US

Angelina Jolie is looking to embrace a more nomadic lifestyle, planning to spend less time in the United States as her youngest children, twins Vivienne and Knox, turn 18. The actress and filmmaker, who recently appeared at the New York City premiere of her film "Without Blood" with daughter Zahara, stated in an interview with L’Officiel USA that she is anticipating the "end of a certain time" in her life.

"Out of the States more, I think," Jolie told the publication when asked about potentially moving from Los Angeles to New York. "I don’t really plan to have a base. I’d like to have a home base for my family, a place where some of the mom stuff and the family photos are. And then I’d like to be a bit nomadic for a while."

With her six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt now adults, Jolie is no longer bound by the custody agreement that required her minor children to remain in Los Angeles. Four of the couple's children—Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne—have legally initiated steps to change their last name from Pitt to Jolie.

Jolie's plans for a more global presence extend to her creative collective, Atelier Jolie. "The hope for the Atelier was always to be global; Brazil might become the first space that we open outside of the US," she explained. "The idea would be to visit the different locations around the world and meet local artists and makers."

She also intends to return to Cambodia to engage in "more hands-on work" with her Maddox Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on community development and conservation. She envisions her Cambodian home serving as a residency for Khmer culture several months out of the year. Jolie described her travel goals as seeking "connection and community" rather than engaging in tourism, envisioning "field work" and potentially riding her motorcycle again.

Jolie expressed that her children are supportive of her desire to travel more now that they are independent. "They had Mom when Mom needed to be Mom. Now, they’d like me to call them from Tunisia having just landed a plane to meet with local artists. I agree that would be very nice," she said.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt has been seen publicly with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. Jolie, who listed her Los Feliz mansion for $29.85 million earlier this year, was recently spotted at JFK Airport in New York, where she made a notable fashion statement in a silky cream ensemble.
