Angel Reese Celebrates WNBA Semifinals Win With Lavish Teammate Dinner
The Atlanta Dream star treated her team to a private celebration at Sei Less in New York City after their victory over the Liberty.
Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese hosted her teammates for a celebratory dinner at the New York City restaurant Sei Less following their WNBA semifinals win against the New York Liberty.
The team secured their spot in the WNBA Finals by sweeping the Liberty, and Reese marked the occasion by renting out the entire private room at Sei Less for her teammates. According to an exclusive report, the celebration included music, singing, and dancing late into the night.
The menu for the evening featured dishes such as king crab legs, lobster spoons, oxtail spring rolls, chicken satay, short rib, and shrimp dumplings. The restaurant owners reportedly kept the establishment open past its usual hours to accommodate the team's celebration.
Sources indicated that the Dream players departed the venue around 3:30 a.m. ET. To express their gratitude to the restaurant staff for their extended service, the team left a generous tip.
"Angel was just exhilarated to be sharing the moment with her teammates," a source told Page Six. "She and her teammates were just living in the moment and grasping the reality of being in the Finals and in position to win a title."
Reese, 24, was acquired by the Dream in a trade from the Chicago Sky in April. During her inaugural season with Atlanta, she has achieved several milestones, including becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 career rebounds and setting a new WNBA single-game rebounding record with 26 boards. She also recently became the first player in Dream franchise history to earn the KIA WNBA Defensive Player of the Year award.
The Atlanta Dream are set to face the Golden State Valkyries in the WNBA Finals, a best-of-seven series commencing on October 17th at Chase Center in San Francisco.
