Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has addressed social media speculation regarding Travis Kelce's physique upon his return to training camp. Online chatter suggested the 36-year-old tight end had gained weight, with some fans attributing it to his recent marriage to pop star Taylor Swift.

Reid, however, dismissed these concerns, stating that Kelce reported to camp in good condition. "He came back in good shape," Reid told NFL Network. "I know everybody's out there saying he's got the dad body and all this stuff, but he looks the same to me that he's always looked."

The coach further praised Kelce's performance and focus during early training camp sessions. "He's focused in and ready to go," Reid noted. "When you have somebody that's been here 14 years and wants to be out there every snap... where he's gonna play hard and aggressive, that's contagious."

Reporters present at the Chiefs' camp also observed that any minor offseason weight gain would likely be shed quickly as practices intensify under summer conditions. Kelce's return to the field follows a busy summer, including his July 3 wedding to Swift at Madison Square Garden.

In unrelated news, the Chiefs' preparations have been overshadowed by an incident involving the family of offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. According to reports, Bieniemy's son, Elijah, was arrested and charged after allegedly shooting his mother, Mia Bieniemy, on July 26. The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute over firearms. Elijah Bieniemy has been charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm inside a dwelling. A judge has approved a motion for his mental health evaluation.
