Andy Cohen Reveals Babysitter Pay Rate, Sparks Debate

Andy Cohen revealed the hourly rate he pays his current babysitter on his SiriusXM radio show, sparking a conversation with co-host Jeff Lewis and reactions from fans online.

During an episode of "Andy Cohen Live," Cohen stated he pays his 23-year-old babysitter $30 per hour. Lewis, who was also discussing childcare costs, expressed surprise at the figure, suggesting it seemed low given Cohen's financial status. Lewis then shared that he pays his own babysitter $37 per hour for his daughter.

Cohen clarified that the babysitter had been present for two hours and fifteen minutes, for which he paid her $70. Lewis countered that he would have offered $100 for a two-hour period for two children.

Social media users, however, largely found Cohen's rate to be within the normal range for New York City. Comments on social platforms suggested that $30 an hour was a standard rate for the area, particularly considering the duration and number of children.

Cohen is a father to seven-year-old Benjamin and four-year-old Lucy, both welcomed via surrogacy. He previously discussed his decision to become a father in his fifties, citing a desire for a greater purpose beyond his career.

"Having children has changed me in every way," Cohen said in a past interview. "I mean, I think my priorities have completely shifted."

Lewis, a fellow Bravo personality, recently returned to the network with the rebooted reality show "Still Flipping Out," which follows his interior design business and radio show. The series also features appearances from other notable figures, including Cohen himself.
