The former New York governor was seen schmoozing with racing royalty and business leaders at the event.
Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was recently spotted at the Singapore Grand Prix, engaging in high-level meetings and mingling with Formula 1 personalities and other notable figures. The appearance comes shortly after reports of his purchase of a $9.6 million estate in the Hamptons.
At the Grand Prix, Cuomo was seen in conversation with Lando Norris, a driver for the McLaren F1 team, and Zak Brown, the CEO of McLaren Racing. He reportedly had VIP access to the team's garage, allowing him a close view of their race cars. This event followed Cuomo's participation as co-chair at the TOKEN2049 cryptocurrency conference, held in conjunction with the Grand Prix. At the conference, he was involved with a joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange and the crypto exchange OKX.
Other prominent individuals in attendance at the Singapore Grand Prix included Kim Kardashian, who was reportedly supporting her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, as well as Romeo Beckham, former NBA players Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul, and Olympian Eileen Gu. Musicians Lana Del Rey and Janet Jackson also performed during the weekend's festivities.
Cuomo is known to be an enthusiast of cars and a collector of vintage automobiles. The recent acquisition of his Hamptons compound includes a new five-car garage, prompting speculation about his future interests in the automotive world.
