Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were ordered to remain in federal jail in Miami on Monday as a judge considers their extradition to the United Kingdom to face new charges of rape, sex trafficking, and offenses related to child abuse imagery. The controversial influencers made a brief appearance in court following their arrest on Saturday.

Bedfordshire Police in southeastern England filed multiple new charges against the siblings over the weekend, involving four alleged victims. The allegations, which span from 2010 to 2017, include rape, assault, trafficking, and offenses related to indecent images of children and extreme pornography. These new accusations are in addition to existing charges in the UK.

Previously, the Tate brothers, who hold dual British and U.S. citizenship, were charged with rape, bodily harm, human trafficking, and controlling prostitution for gain concerning three other alleged UK victims between 2012 and 2015. British authorities requested U.S. authorities extradite the pair to the UK upon their arrival in Florida, reportedly growing frustrated with the pace of a separate case in Romania.

The brothers have been living in Romania since 2016, where they were arrested in 2022 on separate allegations of participating in schemes to lure women for sexual exploitation. Both siblings strongly deny any wrongdoing.

Their legal team stated that they believe the new charges were approved by a lower-level official within the Department of Justice without leadership input. However, the Justice Department confirmed that the arrests were approved by leadership within its Criminal Division.
