Ana Navarro, a co-host on "The View," has publicly defended Hunter Biden, characterizing him as "riveting" and "the biggest troll." Navarro made these remarks on the "Behind the Table" podcast, where she previewed an upcoming interview with Biden and drew parallels between his financial dealings and those of the Trump family.

Navarro argued that the scrutiny directed at Hunter Biden for his earnings from the Ukrainian energy company Burisma is disproportionate when compared to the billions of dollars the Trump family reportedly made during Donald Trump's presidency. "The monetization of the presidency, the fact that Hunter got dragged through the coals and brought into a congressional hearing by Republicans for the money that he was making in Burisma, which is not even chump change in comparison to the billions of dollars that the Trump family has made off the presidency," Navarro stated.

She described this as one of several "double standards" discussed in her interview with Biden for her "Bleep! with Ana Navarro" podcast. Navarro noted Biden's social media presence, saying, "I wanted him on because I’ve been seeing his social media and he has become the biggest troll, but he does it also with humor."

Navarro cited an instance where Biden responded to a social media user who blamed him for cocaine found at the White House in July 2023. According to Navarro, Biden replied, "No, I would have never forgotten my coke." The Secret Service concluded its investigation into the White House cocaine incident without identifying a suspect; the FBI reopened the case in 2025.

Navarro described her conversation with Biden as compelling. "Hunter Biden is riveting, riveting. We talked for over an hour and a half," she said.

Hunter Biden joined the Burisma board in 2014, reportedly earning $1 million annually alongside business associate Devon Archer, according to the House Oversight Committee. This occurred while his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, was involved in U.S. policy toward Ukraine during the Obama administration. Hunter Biden testified in a closed-door House deposition in February 2024 as part of the Republican-led impeachment inquiry into his father, though the full House did not vote on impeachment articles.

Navarro also addressed scrutiny of Hunter Biden's art sales. "And while his father was president, he didn’t make any money. He made money off his paintings… every painting he sold had to go through vetting, and he had been painting his entire life," Navarro said.

The White House, however, rejected Navarro's comparison. White House communications director Steven Cheung stated, "President Trump’s children are extremely successful business leaders in their own right running multi-billion-dollar corporations. Hunter Biden smoked crack, banged hookers, and sold ugly paintings for hundreds of thousands of dollars. No one cares what he has to say."

According to reports, Biden's former gallerist indicated that buyer anonymity agreements did not take effect until September 2021 and that Biden was aware of approximately 70% of his buyers. Reports suggest that ten buyers paid $1.5 million for his artwork, with Biden receiving $900,000. Meanwhile, Reuters estimated in June that Trump and his sons had increased their fortune by at least $2.3 billion through their cryptocurrency ventures since Trump's return to the White House.
