Amy Tapper, known for her role on "Gogglebox," has revealed a significant weight loss of eight and a half stone. The 26-year-old shared an Instagram video on Monday documenting her transformation, which has led to a drop of at least five dress sizes. She recently discussed her plans for skin removal surgery to be able to wear a bikini, an aspiration she has not had since childhood. After dropping from a size 26 to a size 18, Tapper aims to lose an additional stone before consulting with a specialist about removing excess skin from her arms and stomach. She anticipates needing two surgeries for this, noting that exercise alone cannot address this issue.
"It's massive surgery and it will be a long recovery. But I think it will be emotional and overwhelming for me," Tapper said in an interview with Closer magazine. "It'll be the first time I'm able to wear a bikini since I was nine years old!"
Tapper also revealed that a primary motivation for her weight loss is future family planning. "I'm four years away from 30 now and things only get harder as you get older. I want to be able to carry a baby one day and not worry about having a dangerous pregnancy. It will help future-proof myself," she explained.
