Amy Slaton, a star of the TLC series "1000-Lb Sisters," is venturing into the music industry with her debut AI-generated track, "Pounds Hollow," slated for release on August 26. Slaton, 38, shared a preview of the song and its accompanying music video on Instagram, reflecting on the creative process as part of her larger personal journey.

"Y'all are getting a little sneak peek, but this is only part of the journey!" Slaton wrote in her caption. "From an idea in my head, to the music, filming, editing, and finally watching everything come to life - this one means a whole lot to me."

The reality star indicated that the creation of "Pounds Hollow" will be featured in the upcoming season of "1000-Lb Sisters," premiering September 1. The teaser for the new season includes a clip of her brother, Chris Combs, questioning the use of AI in creative endeavors: "If you use AI to do anything, you didn't do it." Slaton responded visually, with text over the clip reading, "but i did tho..."

Slaton has also been focused on her significant weight loss. After weighing over 400 pounds, she underwent bariatric surgery in 2019. By 2023, she reportedly weighed around 230 pounds. Her sister, Tammy Slaton, also underwent the same surgery in 2022 and has lost a substantial amount of weight herself.

Slaton has spoken openly about the challenges accompanying her weight loss, including dealing with excess skin. In a past episode of "1000-Lb Sisters," she described discomfort with harnesses during physical activities, noting how her excess skin interfered. She has also shared plans for skin removal surgery.
