Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer Finalize Divorce Agreement
The couple submitted a proposed judgment to the New York Supreme Court eight months after filing to end their marriage.
Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer have reached a divorce agreement, submitting a proposed judgment to the New York Supreme Court on Thursday. The agreement comes eight months after they initially filed to end their marriage.
The court has signed the judgment, which is now awaiting final processing by the County Clerk. The orders also address support for the couple's 7-year-old son, Gene.
Representatives and lawyers for Schumer and Fischer did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Schumer, 45, and Fischer, 46, announced their separation in December 2025 after seven years of marriage. Schumer shared the news on Instagram at the time, stating, "Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years. We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son."
She also addressed speculation that the split was related to her weight loss, writing, "Blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag a basket and not because he’s a hot Janlmes beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail. Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever."
Schumer officially filed for divorce in January 2026. The couple secretly married in 2018 and welcomed their son a year later. They had faced rumors of a split previously, including a moment in 2021 when Fischer gifted Schumer a birthday cake with the message, "I’m leaving you. This was the only way I could think to do it," which was unclear at the time if it was a joke.
